Capital Museum

It is usual for public buildings in China to create designs of flowers on steps and in courtyards for special events. At museums, special events are almost continuous. Here, the gardeners are setting out pots of flowers for Olympic crowds in 2008. The tripod drinking vessel is a permanent fixture and is covered with small green plants.
