故宫博物院
Official Seal 印章

Another room has an extensive collection of imperial seals, 印章 (yìnzhāng), from different reigns. The seal was the equivalent of a signature and had the power of law. Most were made of jade or gold. The seal shown above is jade inscribed with the characters "Chizheng Wanmin Zhibao". It is from the Qing Dynasty.
