One ear and One Handle Pot with Turned Bands and Sun Design
The Painted Pottery of the Machang Culture 马厂文化彩陶

The top and bottom blanks created by the chevron design are filled with sun designs. Although we may see these as more "sunlike" because they have dots around the edge, they may not look any more like suns than the whirlpool designs of this and previous cultures, or all of the circles may be sun symbols. Just remember that there is no certainty when interpreting a culture with no written record...or even a culture with a written record.
