Cooking Cauldron, a Ding
陶鼎 炊器

This Neolithic cooking cauldron was excavated from Zijing, Shangzhou. It is dated as having been made between 4100 and 4900 years ago (2100 BC - 2900 BC). Notice the additional row of edging. It is both decorative and functional. It strengthens the pot.
