Double Phoenix Jia - Wine Heating Vessel
凤柱斝   盛酒契

This three-legged wine vessel is called a "jia". This jia has two phoenixes gracing the standards above the body of the vessel. If you look at the detail below, you will see that the phoenixes are facing right and there are decorations in the shape of more birds on the handle between them. The jia was used for heating wine during the Shang Dynasty (16th - 11th century BC) and was found at a dig in Hejia Village, Qishan County
