This is a detail of the gui reproduction shown on the previous page. There are repeated ogre patterns found throughout the design. The original was used as a ritual object during the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046 - 771 BC). The original was excavated in 1976 in Xiduan Town, Lintong District, Xi'an.
