Silver Platter with Golden Bear
鎏金熊纹六曲银盘

This silver platter has six lobes and in the center a golden bear is raised from the surface in relief. It was excavated in Hejia Village in X'an. The bear is gilded rather than solid. The platter dates from the early Tang Dynasty (618 - 907 AD).
