Pottery Figures of Maids
拱手女侍俑   捧字画俑    随葬品

These pottery figures of maids were used as burial objects. The maid on the left is holding her hands in a form of bow, a gesture of respect for someone of higher rank, and the figure on the right is holding a scroll. The figures date to the Song Dynasty (960 - 1279 AD) and were excavated at Baijialiang, Ankang.
