Blue and White Basin
青花缠枝牡丹盆

Peonies and leaves distributed in a symmetrical pattern decorate this classic blue and white porcelain bowl. While blue and white porcelain is often seen as central to Ming design, the patterns and color remain popular today. Many new elaborations and new designs were added during the Qing Dnasty. This type of porcelain was a popular foreign trade good with Europe. This basin dates to the Qing Dynasty (1636 - 1911).
