Bowl with impressed decoraation Banpo Neolithic Culture 半坡文化

Banpo Neolithic Culture

This bowl was excavated at the Banpo Neolithic site and is decorated with repeated impressions made by some pointed object.

Below, a similar decoration was used on a bowl found in a Neolithic site in England. In this case, fingertip impressions were combined with designs made by bird bones. The bowl was excavated at 'Caesar's Camp', Heathrow in 1944 by Professor W. F. Grimes. It dates to between 3500 BC - 2750 BC.
